Winnie Waddell

Winnie Hudson Waddell, 77, of Macon, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020. A celebration of Mrs. Waddell's life will be held on Friday, February 14, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home with Dr. Brad Marchman officiating. Immediately following, Mrs. Waddell will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will have a time of visitation on Thursday, February 13, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Waddell was born on April 20, 1942, in Fitzgerald, Georgia. Her greatest joy in life came from being a wife, mom, and grandma. Mrs. Waddell loved to knit, crochet, tend to her garden, read, and to travel, especially to the mountains. She was an avid pianist and organist.
Mrs. Waddell was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Sarah Hudson; grandson, Michael Todd Dobbins, Jr.; and brother, Charles Hudson.
Mrs. Waddell is survived by her husband of 58 years, Donald B. Waddell, Sr.; sons, Donald B. Waddell, Jr. (Courtney) and George Brian Waddell (Kara); daughter, Betty Jane Waddell; granddaughter, Kayla Dobbins; brothers, Jack Hudson and Vernie Hudson (Julia); sister, Claudell Swanson; and several nieces and nephews.
