William Walker

William Marion Walker, "Pops" 83, of Musella, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. The family will greet friends on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Rd, Macon. Burial will be private.
Bill was born on June 8, 1935 to the late George Alvin and Minnie Walker. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy as a medic for three years. After his time in active duty, he served in the Naval Reserves and later the Air Force Reserves from 1963-1987 Bill worked for several years as the business manager at the Middle Georgia Regional Library. After retirement, he opened up his own business, Furniture Medic. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed fishing, reading, and leather working. He also enjoyed building model airplanes. In his earlier years, Bill was a Scout Leader for his sons Boy Scout Troop.
William was preceded in death by his parents, George Alvin Walker and Minnie Walker, as well as one brother Emory Walker and the love of his life, his wife, Johnny Faye Mullis Walker.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving family. His son Eric Walker and his wife Lori. Three grandchildren; Lee Walker, Briana Walker and Emily Walker as well as two great grandchildren; Carly and Quinn.
