William "Bill" Alfred Skinner, 80, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023. A Graveside service to honor his life will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Reverend Chris Minton will officiate. The family invites friends for a time of visitation at Fairhaven Funeral Home from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM.
Mr. Skinner was born on August 30, 1942, in Waynesboro, Georgia to the late Mr. Napolean B Skinner and Annie Mae Miller Skinner. He attended Richmond Academy, Texas A&M University and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1964. Mr. Skinner was a dedicated member of Lizella Baptist Church, demonstrating his unwavering commitment through faithful attendance, relay for life volunteer, active participation as a Sunday school teacher, and serving as a respected deacon within the congregation.
William is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Campbell Skinner; parents, Napolean B Skinner, and Annie Mae Miller Skinner; mother and father in-law Leonard and Grace Campbell, brothers-in-law, Reggie Poss and Billy Campbell; niece, Christi Campbell and James Holland.
Left to cherish Mr. Skinners memory is his brother, Everett Skinner, sisters-in-law, Peggy Campbell Poss; Dorothy Avery Campbell; nieces and nephews, Jay Poss (Lana), Kevin Poss (Janet), Lee Campbell (Alicia), Chad Campbell (Amanda), Jesse Poss (Tyler), Milo Burns, Holder Colter, Josh Poss (Mikala), Layton Poss, Kory Poss, Kolby Poss (Lauren), Kelsey Campbell Hamby (Hilary), Witt Campbell (Sydney), Candler Campbell Brown (Justin), Ty Brown, Mimi Jewel Campbell, Andrew and Madelyn Cliett, Sandy Holland, Shelli Snell (Dean), Kyle Whiting, Kalen Whiting, Mary Dukes, and a host of other nieces and nephews.
