William Ray Simmons: 58, of Lizella, Georgia passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 25, 2015. Funeral services will private.
Born in Thomaston, Georgia, he was the son of the late William "Billy" Simmons and Betty Sams Simmons. Ray was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Simmons. He was a maintenance electrician with Anchor Glass Company in Warner Robins and a he was member of the Local #1316 Electricians Union.
Ray was also, an avid golfer and NASCAR fan. He and Vicki loved their time together kayaking and many trips to the beach.
He is survived by his Loving wife and best friend of 36 years, Vicki Simmons of Lizella, Ga. Sister, Robin Simmons of Macon, Ga. Brother in law, Renny(MaryAnne) Earles of Talbotton, Georgia.
In Lieu of Flowers the family requests donations to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 1102 17th Ave. South, #300 Nashville, Tennessee 37212.
