William Alan Mourfield

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William Alan Mourfield, who left this world on Sunday, February 22nd, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on Wednesday, July 22nd, 1953, in Marietta, GA, William resided in Macon, GA, where he built a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

William devoted his career to the field of accounting, contributing his expertise to Yvonne's Natural Foods, where he shared a partnership not only in business but also in life with his beloved wife, Yvonne Mourfield, to whom he was married for 46 wonderful years.

William was a man of varied interests. A Georgia Tech enthusiast and a dedicated Atlanta Braves supporter, he found joy in sports and community engagement. His faith was nourished at Beth Yeshua International, a place that held a special place in his heart.

He leaves behind a legacy of love through his family: his devoted wife, Yvonne; his son Matt, married to Melissa; and his daughter Anna, married to Keith Zurita. His grandchildren—Dominic, Elysia, Bella, Randall, and Aiden Zurita; Stryder and Katarina Mourfield; and Vincent and Melody Shaker—were his pride and joy. William also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

William was preceded in death by his father, William Meredith Mourfield, and his mother, Mary Mourfield, who welcomed him into eternal rest.
