William Merritt

William "Bill" Emmett Merritt: 86, of Lizella, Georgia passed away Friday, August 12, 2016. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road. Reverend Chris Minton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dixon United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lizella. A visitation will be held Monday from 1:00 p.m. till 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Born in Macon, he was the son of the late Emmett and Molly Merritt. He was the husband of the late Peggy Joy Mosely Merritt. He was a member of the Dixon United Methodist Church and was the owner and operator of Middle Georgia Pottery for over 50 years.
He is survived by his children, Mike Merritt (Gina) and Craig Merritt, both of Lizella, Ga. Tonya Michelle Strawser (Pat) of Athens, Ga. and one grandchild.
