William "Billy" Bell

January 19, 1954 — December 17, 2021

William "Billy" Carl Bell, 67, of Macon, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021. A celebration of life service will be held on a later date.

Billy was born on January 19, 1954, in Reynolds, Georgia, to the late Robert Bell and Wilma Frances Ayers Harp. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Billy retired as the manager of Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, where he served families of Middle Georgia. His compassion and southern charm when dealing with families that had lost a loved one is still unmatched to this day. Billy enjoyed golfing and the fellowship he shared with friends while playing. Many afternoons of laughs and deep conversation could be found at the 19th hole. He was a father and brother who valued faith and family. Capturing all of the beautifully unique traits of Billy within this writing cannot be accomplished. He was a complex man full of knowledge yet never satisfied with what he knew. He read books along many topics, history being a favorite as he never valued repeating mistakes of the past only making and learning from new ones. He was thoughtful of others, always making it a point to tell those he loved how he felt. His quick wit and colorful banter were without equal. His absence from this world has been felt deeply by those who loved him. We can only take comfort in knowing this separation is temporary and we will all be reunited. In lieu of flowers or gifts Billy would want us to make the most of the day that God has given us. Do not take it for granted but instead consider it a gift, an opportunity to do something wonderful on this Earth. We are beyond blessed as he would say.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard "Buddy" Bell

Billy is survived by his son, Tristan Matthew Bell (Brittany); daughter, Jessica Bell Davidson, granddaughter Ava Davidson, brothers, Bobby Bell (Frances) and Barry Bell (Kimmie-Ann); and other survivors.
