Willa James

Willa Jean James, 91, of Macon, transitioned peacefully into her heavenly home on Thursday, July 8, 2021. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home with Dr. Brad Marchman officiating. For those unable to attend, services will be livestreamed on the funeral homes Facebook page at FairHaven Funeral Home-Macon.
Mrs. James was born on October 21, 1929 in Cadwell, Georgia to the late Bennett B. Smith and Ethel Register Smith. She was a homemaker for the majority of her life, raising her four children and building a wonderful life with her husband Buddy. Mrs. James was an active member of Lawrence Drive Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class.
Mrs. James was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband; Buddy James. Son; Larry James, and sister; Winifred Holt.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving children; Gwen Harkins, Donald James (Deb), and Lynn James. Grandchildren; Wendy, Keith, Kevin, Amy, Kim, Brad, Erin, and Matt. Along with Several great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren and one sister; Barbara Carroll.
