Warren Anthony Jernigan, Sr., 79, of Macon, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, February 6, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home with Pastor, Phil Skelton officiating. Immediately following, Mr. Jernigan will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.
Mr. Jernigan was born on June 24, 1946, in Battles Wharf, Alabama, to the late Mr. Hilary Jernigan and Mrs. Doris Steel Jernigan. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force where he retired after 20 years of dedicated service. After retirement, he and his wife embarked on their entrepreneurial journey, first purchasing a restaurant in Biloxi, Mississippi, and then, following his passion for computers, they opened a computer shop. They eventually sold both businesses and made their way to Macon, Georgia, to be near family.
Warren loved his family dearly – especially his grandchildren. After he and Sueman sold their businesses and fully retired, they purchased a motor home and hit the road. They travelled extensively together visiting their bucket list locations, stopping to see family and friends along the way. As grandparents, they would take their grandchildren all over the country visiting places like the Grand Canyon, the Great Lakes, and Mount Rushmore.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Jernigan was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Sueman Tseng Jernigan; and his brothers Richard Jernigan and John Jernigan.
Left to cherish Mr. Jernigan’s memory are his daughters, Gwen Collins (Larry) and Carolyn Jernigan; sons, James Jernigan and Warren Anthony Jernigan, Jr.; grandchildren, Cameron Collins, Carter Collins, and Layla Jernigan; and his sister Elaine Moody (Tom).
