Wanda Marie Martin Lore

Wanda Marie Martin Lore, 75, of Byron, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 23, 2026. Funeral services to honor her life will be held on Tuesday, April 28, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home, with Reverend, Rich Douglas officiating. Immediately following, Mrs. Lore will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.

Mrs. Lore was born on May 6, 1950, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to the late Mr. William Hyatt Martin and Mrs. Helen Leslie Martin. She was a faithful and devoted member of First Baptist Church of Centerville, where her presence and spirit were a blessing to all who knew her. In her leisure time, Mrs. Lore found great joy in traveling, with a special fondness for visits to Savannah, where she cherished the beauty and charm of the city. She also enjoyed bowling and shopping, simple pleasures that brought her much happiness throughout the years.

Above all else, her greatest joy in life was her role as “Gma” to her beloved grandchildren. She treasured every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories through her love, warmth, and unwavering devotion.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lore was preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Thomas “Tom” Lore; brother, Michael Martin; and sisters-in law, Robins McGuire and Kathi Lore.

Left to cherish Mrs. Lore’s memory are her children, Heather Ussery and Guy “Buddy” Lore (Missi); grandchildren, Tyler Lore, Kylee Ussery, and Landon Ussery; brother, Larry Martin; sisters-in-law, Anita Martin and Jona Hammond; brother-in-law, Steve Lore; aunt, Betty Lou Dailey; best-friends, JoAnn Harrison, Judy Britt, and Gayle Elliott; and a host of extended family members.
