Vivian Combess Wood, 88, of Macon, Georgia passed away peacefully surrounded by her family June 22, 2016. Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Elder William Bishop will officiate. A visitation will be held Friday, June 24, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. in Fairhaven Funeral Home 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road.
Born in Macon, She was the daughter of the late Claude Combess and Essie Snow Hawkins. She was retired from Southern Bell after 35 years of service and a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Milton and Barron Combess.
She is survived by her children, Scott McCook (Starr) of Culloden and Donna M. Lee (Mike) of Macon. Sister, Betty Dixon of Macon. Four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.
