Virginia Smith

Virginia Whitfield Smith, 77, of Bonaire, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Pine Pointe Hospice. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 25, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Sandy Valley Baptist Church in Warner Robins. Reverend Phil Bryant will officiate.
Born in Kite, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Whitfield and Maude Snyder Whitfield. She was retired from Ford Motor Credit in Macon. She loved to travel and spending time visiting family. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Tom Whitfield, Billy Whitfield and Iris Woods.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas Emory Colston and Wendell Byrant Colston and wife, Sandra; Grandchildren, Wesley Lanier Colston, Clayton Michael Colston, and Grace Anne Colston. Nieces and nephews, Sherry Woods Dorminy, Sheryl Woods, Dennis Whitfield and Bruce Whitfield. Former husband, Barney A. Smith.
In lieu for flowers, the family request donations be sent to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Ga. 31201.
