Virgil Lee Bryant, 90, of Byron, Georgia, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, November 16, 2020. The family will have a time of visitation to greet friends on Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mt. Pleasant Church Rd, Macon, Georgia, 31216. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 7070 Houston Rd, Macon, Georgia, 31216 with Reverend Gary Bryant and Reverend Dennis Sego officiating. Out of respect for the family, face coverings will be required and social distancing will be enforced. For those unable to attend, services will be stream live on Facebook at FairHaven Funeral Home- Macon.
Mr. Bryant was born on October 5, 1930 in Ocilla, Georgia to the late Lee Bryant and Mary Stanford. He proudly joined the military at the age of 18 and served our country in the United States Navy. At the age of 16, Mr. Bryant began driving a Motor Grader which lead to a lifelong career that he loved. Throughout the years, he turned down many high paying opportunities', because he truly enjoyed what he was doing. He held that position until retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed reading Western Books and watching Westerns on Television. At the age of 19, Mr. Bryant married the love of his life, Wylene, and together they built a loving home, raising four boys. His great joy in life came from his family, and he was his happiest when he was spending time with them. Mr. Bryant attended Victory Tabernacle.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of over 70 years; Wylene Bryant. Sons; Gary Bryant (Jewel), Mike Bryant (Marcia), Ricky Bryant (Laura), and Kenny Bryant (Denise). Grandchildren; Melissa Dozier (Steve), Amy Corliss (Joe), Ethan Devoe (Mandie), Adrian Williams (Chris), Jimmy Bryant (April), David Bryant (Sondra), Scott Bryant (Melissa), Kimberly Brinser (Jon), and Jeremy Bryant (Faith). As well as 21 great grandchildren ,3 great great grandchildren., and sister; Ludean Griner
