Vernon Sinclair

Vernon Delano Sinclair, Sr., 75 of Macon passed away peacefully surrounded by those he loved most Saturday, May 14, 2016. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mt. Pleasant Church Rd, Macon. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Jeff Battcher will officiate.
Born in Macon, Vernon was the son of the late Charlie A. Sinclair and Ruby Daughtry Sinclair. Vernon proudly served in the Army National Guard of Georgia for eight years. He was employed by the Macon Telegraph for over 35 years. Vernon loved to fish and spend time at the beach. He was an avid UGA football fan and wore his trusty Georgia Bulldawg hat wherever he went. In his earlier years, Vernon coached Ocmulgee Little League. To say he left an impact on some of those children would be an understatement. Jeff Battcher, who will be delievering Vernons Eulogy, is just one of the many lives he touched. In May of 2016 Jeff was inducted into the Macon Sports Hall of Fame and accredited his success to Vernon. Above everything Vernon will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, brother and friend to all who knew him.
Vernon was preceded in death by his Children; Sherri L. Palma, and Ron K. Sinclair and one brother, Charles Ray Sinclair.
Left to cherish is memory is his loving wife of 46 years, Betty Sinclair, Children; Vernon Sinclair, Jr., and Sherron Faye Tullos ( Wylie) and his Sister; Faye Chancellor ( Jimmy). As well as nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
