Venice Childers

Venice "Vickey" Eleanor Childers: 62, of Macon, Georgia passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 with her loving family by her side. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Grace Primitive Baptist Church. Elder Daniel Bryant and Lic. Richard James will officiate. A private family burial will follow at a later date. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the family's residence from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at 5695 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon GA 31216.

Born in Macon Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James and Eleanor Carpenter Childers. She was a giving soul totally devoted to her family. She cherished her time with them. She was always known for wearing crazy elaborate hats on special occasions. She loved her family dearly and she especially loved her nieces and nephews who she claimed as her own. She was also preceded in death by her nephew Stephen Hopkins. She will be deeply missed by her family, who wishes for everyone to wear the craziest hat you can find, to honor her memory at the memorial service.

She is survived by her sisters Penny Hopkins of Macon, Georgia; Molly Statham (Michael) of Macon, Georgia; and Jane Rozier (Greg) of Byron, Georgia. Eight Nieces and Nephews and Eight Great Nieces and Nephews.
