Van Brock

Van Edwin Brock, 79, of Jones County, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018. The family will have a time of visitation Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Greenwood Baptist Church from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. They respectfully request that you come to fellowship and celebrate Vans life, and that no flowers or food is necessary.
Van was born January 21, 1939 to the late William Brock and Emma Dougherty. He faithfully worked for Sheridan Construction Company for 25 years, as a Construction Superintendent. In his earlier years, he loved Coaching Little League and Umpiring in Jones County. He also enjoyed Fishing and Woodworking in his free time. His greatest joy in life came from his family. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Van was preceded in death by his parents, and well as one son, Todd Brock and three brothers.
Left to carry on his legacy his loving wife of 62 years; Pat Brock. Three children; Renee Williams, Steve Brock (Donna) and Denise Hardy (Bobby). Nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. As well as two sisters; Betty Padgette and Nina Bloodworth.
