Tina Macon Buford, 64, went to her heavenly home on August 16, 2021. An outdoor celebration of her life will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Riverside United Methodist Church. Social distancing and masks are encouraged.
Tina was born on January 16, 1957 in Statesboro, Georgia. She graduated from Wichita Falls High School in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1975. She attended Texas Tech University for two years. Tina was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church and was in the Seeking Believers Sunday School Class. She was a volunteer for Riverside Backpack Ministry.
Tina worked several years for GEICO, Yellowbook / Hibu, Carlyle Place and most recently she was a receptionist for Mercedes Benz of Macon. Tina was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Confederacy and the Junior League. Tina always met people with a smiling face. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with friends, she also loved the beach.
Tina is survived by her beloved daughter Alex Buford; nephew Curt Macon; niece Stephanie Macon; several other family members and feline Bella.
Tina was preceded in death by her parents, Hal Macon, Sr., and Claire Marchman Macon. Brother Hal Macon, Jr.
