Timothy Carey Tharpe, 69, of Lizella, Georgia passed away Thursday May 8, 2025. A Celebration of life will be 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM Sunday May 18,
2025, at a family member's residence 6295 Rogers Rd. Lizella, Georgia 31052.
Tim was born August 24, 1955, in Macon, Georgia to the late Mr. George Tharpe and Mrs. Mavis Carey Tharpe. Tim lovingly known by many as the "Rambling Man," was a one-of-a-kind soul whose presence brought warmth, comfort, and unwavering positivity to everyone lucky enough to know him. A true animal lover with a heart as big as the outdoors he cherished, Tim found peace in casting a line on quiet waters and joy in the sounds of southern rock playing under open skies. His nickname wasn't just a nod to his favorite tune, it reflected his free spirit, his love of the journey, and the stories he gathered along the way. He was a helper by nature, generous with his time and spirit, always putting family first and offering a nurturing hand to those in need. Tim lived life on his own terms, with a soft heart, a kind word, and a smile that could ease any burden. His legacy of love, strength, and sincerity will live on in the countless lives he touched, and as he always said, "Trust and Believe.".
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Bobby Tharpe and his sister, Faye Tharpe.
Left to cherish his memory are his are his son, Josh (Liz) Tharpe; daughters, Kelly (Tony) Crenshaw, Lori (Chris) Morrell; brothers, George (Debra) Tharpe, Ray (Joy) Tharpe; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and framily.
