Thomas "Tommy" Roland, 82, of Macon, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025. Funeral services to honor his life will be held on Tuesday, September 16, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home with Pastor, Ronnie Hollis officiating. Immediately following, Mr. Roland will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will have a time of visitation on Monday, September 15, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Roland was born on April 7, 1943, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. John Dewey Roland and Mrs. Leccie Mae Bacon Roland. He was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church. A hard-working man to say the least, Mr. Roland was the owner/operator of Roland's Upholstery, where he proudly served the Middle Georgia community for over 50 years. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, bowling, and rooting for his Atlanta Braves, of which he was a lifelong fan. Above all else, Mr. Roland loved his family, especially his grandchildren, as they were the light of his life.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Roland was preceded in death by all eight of his siblings.
Left to cherish Mr. Roland's memory are his loving wife of 39 years, Juanita Thompson Roland; children, Thomas Michael Roland, Teresa Roland Brown (Scott), Rodney Dwayne Roland (Dee), and Darrell Roland (Sheryl), Thomas Roland, Jr., and Christopher Roland; step-son, Marcus Terrell (Lyn); grandchildren; Crystal Walker (Jordan), Greg Brown (Heather), Melinda Thiel (Trey), Ashley Roland, Hunter Woods, Christopher "Bubba" Roland, and Taylor Wall; step-grandson, Dylan Terrell; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
