Christine "Tina" Tidwell Fountain, 84, of Lizella, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday March 3, 2025. A funeral to honor her life will be 11:00 AM Friday March 7, 2025, at Lighthouse Community Church, 4301 Jordan Rd, Byron, Georgia. The Family invites friends to join them for a time of visitation one hour prior to services. Immediately following services, she will be laid to rest at Fellowship Evangelistic Church Cemetery. Pastor Ricky Tidwell will be officiating all services.
She was born in Lizella, Georgia on December 24, 1940, to the late Mr. Willie Tidwell Sr. and Mrs. Ruby Hardy Tidwell. Tina is described by her family as a hardworking, generous, and selfless women who loved to spoil her grandchildren, especially shopping for them. She was always on the hunt for a good deal. She was soft-spoken and was known for her immaculately kept home and beautiful garden. When she wasn't gardening, she could be found doing her favorite pastime, cooking for her friends and family. Her poise, grace, and dedication to fer family will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Buddy Fountain; son, Randy Fountain; daughter, Marie Bledsoe; brothers, Willie S. Tidwell, Joel Tidwell, Malcolm Tidwell, Stan Tidwell; sisters, Faye Wisher and Joyce Tidwell.
Left to cherish her memory is her brothers, Ricky (Melinda) Tidwell, Willie G. (Carol) Tidwell Jr.; sisters, Mary (Grady) Jones, Patsy Bybee, Donna (Harold) Parker; grandchildren, Chad (Kristen) Fowler, Kevin Hawkins; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
