Steven Keith Smith, Sr., 53, of Macon, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024. Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. Immediately following the services, Steven Keith Smith will be laid to rest in Shiloh Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Monday, April 15, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Fairhaven Funeral Home.
Steven affectionately known as "Steve Bo" was born on October 27, 1970, in Macon, Georgia to the parentage of the late S.K. Smith and Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Sorrell Smith.
Steve grew up in a close-knit community. He attended Central High School in Macon, Georgia, where he excelled in sports particularly football. Besides his passion for football, he devoted his fatherly duties to all of his children, including his autistic son and caregiver to his father, the late S.K. Smith. He loved landscaping, his long walks, collecting old coins, DVD'S, and cooking for his family. He truly loved his family and is loved deeply by them.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his sister Debra Hall and our family pets Ren and Marley.
Steve leaves to cherish his loving memories with his wife, Jacopa Johnson; daughter, Karra Johnson Smith; sons, Steven Keith Smith, Jr., Collin Smith and Kamden Johnson; sisters, Vicki (Scott) Logue, Theresa Harp, Kathryn Criswell, and Kristy Ard; brother, Sherrill K. Smith, Jr.; sisters by marriage, Esperanza (Anthony) Cornelius, Cameka Anderson, and Dawn Smith; an abundance of nieces, nephews and his beloved pets, Luna, Finn and Cody.
