Stephen Lane Grubbs, 40, Macon, Georgia passed away peacefully March 21, 2016 with his family by his side. Funeral Services to honor and celebrate his life will be held Wednesday, March 23 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home with the Elder Garry Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will have a time of visitation on Tuesday, March 22 from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Stephen was a proud member of the Air National Guard where he honorably served for fourteen years, and rose to the rank of Master Sargent. He had three deployments to the Persian Gulf as well as helping with relief efforts for Hurricane Katrina. He was also a police officer with the Warner Robins Police Department and the Gwinnett County Police. Stephen loved firearms and was a firearms instructor while in the military. He was also a member of Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church in Fort Valley.
He is survived by his parents, Quinton and Wanda Ezell Grubbs of Macon; Sister, Janiece Dukes(Philip) of Birmingham, Alabama. Grandmother, Vernice Ezell of Macon. Six nieces and nephews.
