Stephen "Steve" Gregory Scogin

Stephen "Steve" Gregory Scogin, 66, of Centerville, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022. A graveside celebration of Steve's life will be held on Thursday, December 29, at 2:00 PM in the Parkway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will have a time of visitation on Wednesday, December 28, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at FairHaven Funeral Home.

Steve was born on October 4, 1956, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. James Edwin Scogin, Sr. and Mrs. Mary Anne Lemon Douglas. He retired from Victory Solutions, where he worked as a graphic engineer. Steve was an avid fan of the University of Georgia; he was a Dawg to the bone. He was a man that was too smart for his own britches, who loved his family more than anything. There was no better husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, and brother, than Steve. He will be missed by all the knew and loved him.

Steve was preceded in death by his brother, James Edwin Scogin, Jr.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Nancy Scogin; daughter, Jessica Lumpkin (Albert, Jr.); son, Daniel Scogin (Maggie); stepdaughter, Laccie Parsons (Mark); stepson, Ralie Calhoun (Mandy Lee); grandchildren, Taylor, Kaylee, Ethan, Kayden, Alivia, Evan, Claire, Braelin, Ashlie, and Maya; great-grandchildren, Addison and Presley; and sister, Diane Scogin.
