Shelia Ann Hall-Gordon-Skinner, 78, of Macon GA passed peacefully in the hospital on July 4, 2025. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service time.
Shelia was born on May 7, 1947, in Macon, GA to the late Harvey Doyle Hall and T.O. Vickers Hall.
She is preceded in death by her first love Steve Gordon, her brother Boe Hall, her truly missed grandson Shawn Ashley Davis and loving daughter Debey Levitt.
Left to cherish Shelia's memory is her amazing husband, Val Diva Skinner of almost 24 years. Her daughter, Missy Davis and beautiful granddaughter Shanna Davis. Also left to remember her is, a sister, Joyce Stripling, a son Jamie Gordon along with her married-in-love family kids: Steven Skinner (Karen), Valorie Markham and best friends Ebb Wickman and Carol Jordan. Shelia was blessed to have 11 grandkids, 7 great grandkids and a niece & nephew. She also loved her sweet Dixie Girl (grandpup), her kitty cat Baby & Bob Barker aka Bo (grandpup) whom she loved dearly.
Shelia was one of a kind. She loved with all her heart. She never missed an opportunity to tell you that she loved you and when she told you that, you knew it to be truth. Everyone to her was either "Baby" or "Darling". She was crafty; always "dumpster diving" and finding the most hideous objects and turning them into a masterpiece of beauty. She loved craft shows and mastered the art of creating gorgeous wreaths, making inspirational wall plaques and scrapbooking. She utilized her "she-shed" often.
Shelia was a retired beautician and a retiree of Kroger. She loved her jobs, and she was vested in everyone she met. She would tell you she didn't like people; however, one never knew this because of the people she encountered she left a lasting impression.
Shelia was a person with many names. When she became a Mom, we called her the Big Bad Wolf (LOL) we loved to pick on her. When her grands were born, she became Ganmoma (& what a PERFECT one she was). Also at one point, Shawn, her grandson, named her Ursala (yes, from the Little Mermaid) When she met her precious husband Val, he called her Baby Doll. Lastly, somewhere along the way she got the nickname Tequila Shelia though she never drank! But her best & most deserving name was Moma!
Shelia loved Tinkerbell and I leave this last thought from my Moma: "You know that place between sleep and awake, that place where you still remember dreaming? That's where I'll always love you. That's where I'll be waiting."
Matthew 5:4 Jesus states, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."
