Sharon Lee Quinn Edwards passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the age of 78 from cardiac and lung complications.
She was the youngest of three daughters born to Adam Lee Quinn and Ruth Johnson Quinn and lived in Macon her entire life.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Billy Edwards, Sons, Bruce Edwards, Brian Edwards, grandson, Nolan Edwards and her sisters Kaye Barnes and Cynthia Dees as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Adam Reeves. She was an active member of Liberty UMC for over 40 years.
As a member of the United Methodist Women, she helped to raise funds for local and foreign missions. She was also a member of Porterfield Garden Club for many years obtaining Master Gardener certification.
After graduating from McEvoy High School in 1963, she attended Mercer University obtaining a Liberal Arts degree in 1967 and a master's degree in Women's Studies in 1979. She had a 33-year career with Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base, retiring as Program Manager for Crash Fire Rescue Trucks.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel of Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Pastor Jack Osburn will officiate. The family will have a time of visitation one hour prior to service in the Mausoleum Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials go the Alzheimer's Association, 3040 Riverside Drive Macon, Georgia 31210 or to Brightmoor Hospice, 115 Arkwright Landing Macon, Georgia 31210, or to Liberty Church Macon, 6511 Houston Road, Macon, Georgia 31216.
