Charlton Shane Waldon, 53, of Lizella, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023. A celebration of his life will be held at Safe Harbor Church 7065 Mosley Dixon Rd Macon Ga 31220 on Friday October 20, 2023 at 3:00 P.M.
Shane was born on September 22, 1970, in Hazelhurst, Georgia, to Charles Waldon and the late Gwen Powell. He had a lifelong love of aviation and he turned it into a profession. After graduating from Central Georgia Technical College, he pursued his associate degree from Georgia Military College where he graduated with honors as their valedictorian. He went on to get his Bachelor's and Master's degrees both with a 4.0 GPA from Embory Riddle Technical College. Shane started his career as a technical instructor and worked his way up as a department head, division head, and eventually as an associate Dean.
Shane is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Diana Davies Waldon; father, Charles Waldon; sisters, Sonja and Sabrina; brother, Bradley; aunt, Lillian Pace Dixon; and cousins, Wayne, Renee, Ramona, and Michelle.
