Sgt. Malcolm Steve Tidwell

Malcolm Steve Tidwell, 75, of Lizella, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 26, 2023. A funeral service to honor his life will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. Immediately following, an inurnment will be held at Fellowship Church; 4967 Sandy Point Rd Lizella, GA 31052. Pastor Ricky Tidwell will officiate all services.
Mr. Tidwell was born in Lizella, Georgia on February 13, 1948, to the late Mr. Willie George Tidwell, Sr., and Mrs. Ruby Lee Hardy Tidwell. Malcolm was avid in his faith and attended church for the majority of his life. He honorably served in the United States Navy for 4 years. Malcolm's passion began at an early age when he took his calling of being a Fireman. He dedicated 29 years to the Bibb County Fire Department before retiring. He was the proud owner of T & K Auto Body and Paint and enjoyed the time he spent at the shop. In Malcolm's free time, he enjoyed fishing, listening to gospel music, Elvis, and spending time with his family. He was a simple man who enjoyed all of life's treasures. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
In addition to his parents, Malcolm is preceded in death by his son, Thomas Tidwell, and grandson Caleb Smith.
Left to cherish the memories that were made with Malcolm is his wife of 29 years, Linda Carol Tidwell; children, William, Roger, David and Kevin (Shelly); brothers, Ricky and Willie; sisters, Mary, Donna, Patsy and Christine; grandchildren, Blake, Savannah (Caleb), and Brayden; great grandchildren, Kelley, Mariam and Josiah.
The family graciously asks that donations in Malcolm's honor be made to the Bibb County Fire Department; 1191 1st St, Macon, GA 31201.
