Stella Ruth Yarbrough, 86, of Lizella, Georgia, went to be with her Lord Friday June 27,2025, surrounded by her family. A Graveside service to celebrate her life will be 10:00 AM Wednesday July 2, 2025, at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery, 1200 Moseley Rd, Macon, GA 31220. The family invites friends to join them for a time of visitation 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday July 1, 2025, at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Rd. Macon, GA 31216. Pastor Marty Braemer will be officiating all services.
Ruth was born February 12, 1939, In Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. Jack Williams and Mrs. Susie Haines Williams. She was a beloved soul whose warmth and spirit touched all who knew her. A longtime member of Midway Baptist Church, Ruth lived her faith through quiet acts of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for others. She cherished her family above all, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. In her youth, Ruth had a deep love for horses, especially her cherished horse, Tony, and those early days spent riding helped shape her lifelong connection to the outdoors. She found joy in simple pleasures: sitting on her porch, tending her flowers, mowing her yard, or hiking through the woods she loved so dearly. Ruth was active and full of life, always ready with a listening ear, a kind word, and a welcoming smile. She was never one to judge, always one to love, standing as both a nurturing mother and a loyal friend. Her legacy of grace, strength, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Marvin Yarbrough and daughter, Rebecca Foreman.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Grady (Kathy) Yarbrough; daughter, Denise (Jim) Reeves; grandchildren, Caryn (Alexandre) Reeves, Christopher (Paige) Reeves, Brannigan (Whitley) Yarbrough, Chelsea (Sheldon) Donohue; nine great grandchildren; three fur babies and one feather baby.
