Ruth Ray

Ruth Greene Ray, 95, of Macon, Georgia passed away Friday, October 28, 2022. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 31, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Elder Dan Bryant and Elder Richard James will officiate. The family will have a time of visitation on Sunday, October 30, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. till 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Born in Macon, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Elmer Greene and Mary Tidwell Greene Tyner. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Washington Ray and second husband, Bob Foy, also her siblings, Irma Greene, Carolyn Meadows, and Martha "Bunny" Snider.
Mrs. Ray was a retired secretary for the Honorable Judge William Augustus Bootle and was a member of Grace Primitive Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Ray Chafin, Elaine Ray-Bass (Dell) and Tony Ray (Georja), Grandchildren, Christoper Chafin (Heather), Emily Gutierrez (Raymond "Chico"), Rachael Ray Granade (Chris), Sarah Ray Kimsey (Raymond) and Jordan William Ray (Sarah) and Seventeen great grandchildren, Step-children, Bobby Foy(Pam), Nancy Foy Batson, and Billy Foy(Bert). Several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren..
Serving as pallbearers will be, Chris Chafin, Jordan Ray, Dennis Snider, Austin Gutierrez, Chico Gutierrez, Chris Granade, Raymond Kimsey, and Glenn Snider.
