Rufus Dent

Rufus L. Dent, 93, passed away July 30, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. Graveside Services will be held Thursday August 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will have a viewing and visitation one hour prior to the service at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon before making their way to the cemetery.
Rufus was born in Macon, Georgia. He attended Lanier High School and served his country in the United States Army. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base after 36 years of service and then worked at International Enterprises for an additional 20 years. Rufus was a longtime member of Ocmulgee Gun Club and a avid skeet shooter.
Mr. Dent was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Dent.
He is survived by his nephew, Chris Adams and his wife Connie. His great niece and nephew, Cheltsie Adams and Cody Adams (Jamie).
