Ruby Peavy

Ruby Faye Staines Peavy, 80, of Macon, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 8, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home with Pastor, Ronnie Hollis officiating. Immediately following, Mrs. Peavy will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.

Mrs. Peavy was born on January 13, 1944, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. William Staines and Mrs. Lula Hesters Wilkes. She was a simple southern lady, who loved to travel with her husband and family, most recently taking a trip to Nashville with Robin. Mrs. Peavy spent much of her free time gardening and going dancing. She loved her family dearly and will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.

Mrs. Peavy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, David Peavy, Sr.

Left to cherish Mrs. Peavy's memory are her daughters, Robin Wells (Mike) and Debra Stripling; sons, David Peavy, Jr. and Fred Stripling, Jr.; grandchildren, Tasha Stripling, Jessica Meyer, Justin Meyer, Belinda Stripling, Dawson Wells, Brian Peavy, Nikki Browning, Heather Cunningham, and Scotty Peavy; many great-grandchildren; sisters, Myrle Cleverly, Diane Warren (Jack), Traci Bedenbaugh (Ronald), and Shirley Hamm; and brother, Wayne Staines (Linda).
