Rozier Leon Tapley, 85, of Macon, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018. Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be held Friday, March 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home. Pastor Glenn Haskins will officiate. Burial will be immediately following in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born in Montgomery County, Georgia, Leon was the son of the late John Rozier and Annie Ruth Tapley. He proudly served our country in the United States Army. After his time in the service, Leon retired from Armstrong after 38 year and later retired from Enmark on Pio Nono Avenue. In the 80's and 90's he received great joy by being Santa Clause at the Macon Mall. Above everything Leon was a family man, he was a loving husband, father, grandpa and papa.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his loving wife, Peggy Kennon Tapley and one brother, Jerry Tapley.
Left to cherish his memory is his family. His daughter: Nancy Jarrell (Roy). Grandchildren: Vickie Knight (Kevin) and Kimberly Bryant. Six grandchildren; Raven Martinez, Hunter Martinez, Kaleb Bryant, Keely Bryant, Dawson Knight and Dakoda Knight. Three brothers; Ralph Tapley (Pat), Joel Tapley (Jackie), James Tapley (Virginia). Sister; Deborah Elliott (Danny) and one sister in law; Lanette.
