Royce Edward Bledsoe, 87, of Musella, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. The family will have a time of visitation on Friday, December 17, 2021, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Lizella Baptist Church. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m., Reverend Chris Minton will officiate. Immediately following, he will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Bledsoe was born on March 29, 1934 in Irwin County, Georgia to the late Samuel and Mary Ellen Bledsoe. He graduated from Irwin County High School. On June 24, 1955, he married the love of his life, Dorothy Phelps Bledsoe. Mr. Bledsoe worked in vending services for over 42 years and was co-owner of Middle Georgia Vendors. Mr. Bledsoe loved the Lord, family, and his church. He humbly served as teacher, deacon, treasurer, and chairman of various committees for many years. He became an ordained deacon at Glenwood Hills Baptist Church in 1960 at the age of 26 and served the Lord for the rest of his life, most recently attending Lizella Baptist Church where he was a member of the Glen Talbert Sunday School Class. He was a member of Gideons International Bibb West Crawford Camp.
Mr. Bledsoe is survived by his loving family; his wife; Dorothy Phelps Bledsoe. Children; Donald K. Bledsoe (Kelly), and Glenn Bledsoe (Vickie). Grandchildren; Ryan Marsh (Keith), Katie Seley (Lee), Brett Bledsoe, Brittney Lennartsson (Anton), Bryan Bledsoe (Pfeiffer), Jennifer Hickey (Nate) Amy Davis (Blake), Leah Miller (Rob) and Chad Bedwell. 6 great grandchildren and two siblings; Vernon Bledsoe (Vivian) and Nelle Floyd.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Gideons International or Lizella Baptist Church.
