Roy Sherrell

Roy Donald Sherrell, 81, of Macon, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Reverend Brad Marchman will officiate.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. in Fairhaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road Macon.

Born in McDonough, Georgia, he was the son of the late Joseph and Emma Price Sherrell and the hubsand of the late Jeanette Carolyn Courtney Sherrell. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and a retired truck driver with Old Dominion Truck Lines. He was a member of the Houston Heights Baptist Church. Mr. Sherrell was preceded in death by a son, Roy Donald Sherrell, Jr.

He is survived by his sons, David Sherrell (Donna) and Kenneth Sherrell (Debbie Chandler), both of Macon; Daughter in law, Melanie Sherrell of Byron, Ga.; Grandchildren, Trey Sherrell (Janessa), Courtney Hale(Donnie), Roxie Sherrell, and Josie Sherrell; Great grandchildren, Emma Grace Hale, Gordon Hale and Hayzel Barnes.
Sister, Virginia Sherrell of Jackson, Ga. Companion, Sara Staines, of Macon. Several nieces and nephews.
