Roy Allen Peal, 81, of Byron, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 7, at 2:00 PM at Crossroads Bible Church, 243 Marshall Mill Rd, Fort Valley, Georgia 31030, with Reverend, Chet Cooper officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.
Mr. Peal was born on October 19, 1943, in Chamblee, Georgia, to the late Mr. Roy Leslie Peal and Mrs. Jessie McIntyre Peal. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Peal held many positions over his lifetime, from working at Robins Air Force Base as an airplane mechanic, to working at Merico as a diesel mechanic, and finally retiring from Sara Lee as an over the road truck driver. But what he was most passionate about was construction and renovations, where he built many homes with his beloved wife, Virginia. In his free time, he loved going fishing with his son, Randall. In addition to his parents, Mr. Peal was preceded in death by three siblings.
Left to cherish Mr. Peal's memory are his loving wife of 58 years, Virginia Edwards Peal; son, Randall Lee Peal; and sister, Carol Hendricks (Jake).
