Roy Helton

Roy Fields Helton, 85, of Macon, Georgia passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of October 05, 2016.
Services to honor his life will be held on Friday, October 07, 2016 at 2:00PM in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home with Reverend Marty Watson officiating. The family will have a time of visitation in the funeral home following the service.
Born June 26, 1931 to the late Lillian Fields Helton and Willie Helton, Roy proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict where he received several medals for his service. Mr. Helton was a member of the Avondale Baptist Church and before retirement worked at Robins Air Force Base.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Sarah Green Helton; a daughter, Seleta Evans; a son, Roy "Chuck" Helton; two grandchildren, Zachary and Ciara Evans; two brothers, Winford and Don Helton; a sister Betty Stucky and many nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends. Roy will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
