Roy Lamar Goodson, Jr., 66, of Byron, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 22, 2021. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held on Sunday October 31, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at New Elim Baptist Church 4368 Hartley Bridge Rd. Macon, Georgia 31216
Roy was born on May 25, 1955 in Fulton County, Georgia to the late Roy L. Goodson, Sr. and Rita Sue Goodson. He was a self-employed Carpenter all his life. Roy loved being outdoors. He especially loved to hunt, fish, golf, and doing yardwork. When you couldn't find him outside, he was probably enjoying some Georgia Sports team, especially the Falcons, Georgia Bulldogs, and Georgia Tech. Above everything, Roy loved his family and was a good man.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings; Russell Goodson, and Lari Sue Johnson as well as one nephew; Jeffery Johnson.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 31 years; Kim Goodson. Children; David Matthew Goodson (April), Billy Michael Smith (Nichole) and Lori Stephenson (Jason). Grandchildren; Matthew L. Goodson, Alexia Goodson, Daniel Goodson, Savannah Goodson, Diamond Goodson, Valli Smith, Jake Stephenson and Joshua Conrad. One brother; Christopher Goodson.
