Roxie Elizabeth "Polly" Ward Lynn, 80, of Macon, passed away peacefully Monday, May 29, 2017. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be held Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon. Burial will be immediately following in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation to greet friends Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Polly was born on a farm in Kingston, TN. She married and lived the life of an army wife for several years. She was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother. She was an incredibly hard worker who supported her children by herself most of their lives. She was a woman of faith and a prayer warrior.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin Franklin Ward and Bertie Lou Luster Ward of Kingston, TN; four brothers – Dewey Edward Ward, Hugh Curtis Ward, John Martin Ward and Robert Herman Ward, all of Kingston, TN, and one sister, Hattie Rachel Ward Collins of Oak Ridge, TN.
Left to mourn her, are one sister BJ Ward Vinsant of Lenoir City, TN, two daughters, Diana Lynn Watson and Patricia Gail Lynn (Scott) both of Macon, GA; three granddaughters – Tiffany Anne Barton Robinson (Jason), Kirsten Nichole Holley (Satori) and Katherine Elizabeth Watson (Patrick) Dietz; three great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters, several nieces and nephews.
