Rosa T. Walters 82, of Macon, Georgia passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Bishop Tom Black will officiate. The family will have a time of visitation from 1:00 p.m. till 1:45 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2017 in Fairhaven Funeral Home.
Born in Lumber City, Georgia, She was the daughter of the late John Thompson and Geneva Goodman Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney H. Walters and a son, Ricky Gene Griffin.
Before retirement, she was a nursing assistant with the office of Dr. Williams and Wynn.
She is survived by her son, Steve Griffin(Marie) and Sister, Hazel Fields(Tommy) and a brother, Randy Thompson. Grandchildren, Wendy Bloodworth(Carlos), Chad Griffin(Lindsay) Chris Dean(Beth) and Josh Griffin. Great grandchildren, Hunter, Alex, Sierra, Blake, Isaiah, Aaron, Gavin, and awaiting the arrival of Knox, next month.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Heartland Hospice for the special care they gave Mrs. Walters.
