Ronald Raymond Day, 80, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Porterfield Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Snow Hill Cemetery, Ivey, Georgia. Reverend Bob Hamilton will officiate. The family will have a time of visitation from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2017 in Fairhaven Funeral Home.
Born in Wilkinson County, he was the son of the late Harvey Day and Ruby Tapley Day. He was retired leader from Armstrong World Industries. He was a member of the Porterfield Baptist Church, where he served as deacon and attended Sunday School.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanelle "Nell"Day, Children, Wayne Day(Jerri), Dianne Davis(Billy), Tina Benge, Bonnie Wingers(Donnie), Fourteen Grandchildren, Twenty nine great grandchildren, and Four great great grandchildren. Siblings, Charlie Day(Joyce), Joyce Ramsey(Sam), Faye Johnson(Mack), Joan Pettigrew(Glenn), Connie Overman(Bill) and Doris Day.
