It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Milford Roger Busbee, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Milford was born on Saturday, June 6, 1953, in Macon, Georgia, and passed away peacefully on his 73rd birthday, Saturday, June 6, 2026, in Macon, Georgia.
Milford was a dedicated and skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Technician at Graphic Packaging International, where he worked diligently for many years. His passion for his work was matched only by his love for the great outdoors. Milford was an avid farmer, fisherman, and hunter, finding joy in working the land and peace in nature.
Milford is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Anna Busbee, who stood by his side through life's many adventures. He leaves behind two sons: Thomas Busbee and his wife, Laura; and Lee Busbee and his partner, Kimberly Wilson. Milford was a proud grandfather to Barrett, Felicity, and Adelaide Busbee, who brought immense joy to his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roger William Busbee, and his mother, Pansy Busbee McGowan. Milford also joins in eternal rest his grandparents, Willa and Tom Hardy; his sister and her husband, Brenda and Pete Carroll; and his parents-in-law, Steve and Gerry Ferrell.
A funeral service will be held in Milford's honor at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia, on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, Milford will be laid to rest in the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on the same day.
Milford's memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and love for the outdoors will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of crossing his path.
