Robert Ray

Robert Lee Ray, of Lizella,Georgia, passed away on January 27, 2020 at the age of 77. The family will have a time of visitation on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at FairHaven Funeral Home from 7:00-9:00 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home. Immediately following, Robert will be laid to rest in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Thelma Ray. Also his siblings Charlene Curtsinger and Christopher Ray.
Robert is survived by his wife of many years Marilyn Ray. This union was blessed with three children. Kathy Huggins (Calvin), Scotty Ray, and Wendy Chapman (Bruce). Additional survivors include his sisters Karen Pack (Johnny) and Becky Miller (Butch). His grandchildren, Jennifer Lemoine (Kevin) Calvin Huggins III (Heather), Zack Huggins, Amy Chapman (Jeremy), Erica Huggins, Kaylyn Miller (CJ), Amanda Chapman (Chavon) and Erin Huggins as well as 9 great grandchildren.
Robert was born March 26, 1942 in Fairdale, Kentucky. He worked at Brown and Williamson as a senior Feb Tech. He later became President of the Union 362T for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed cooking and fishing. He enjoyed working on his farm. He lived for his family and looked forward to the Holidays each year.
