Robert "Mike" Dyes

Robert "Mike" Michael Dyes, 70, of Jones County, passed away suddenly at his residence on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. The family will have a time of visitation on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home. Immediately following, he will be laid to rest in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
Robert was born on August 27, 1948 in Macon, Georgia to the late Joseph W. Dyes and Sara Mitchell Dyes. He graduated from Dudley Hughes High School in June of 1968, shortly after on June 14, 1968 he married the love of his life Shirley Elaine Touchton. Robert worked faithfully at Robins Air Force Base as an Aircraft Sheet metal Mechanic and retired after 36 years of faithful service on April 30, 2012.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving family. His wife of 50 years; Shirley Touchton Dyes. Children; Ginger Vickery (James Vickery), and Michelle Dyes (Glenn Gordon). Grandchildren; Derek Vickery (Jessica Vickery), Shaelyn Vickery (Jeremy Dunlap) Tanner Gordon. Great grandchildren; Caedynn Dunlap and Sebastian "Bash" Vickery. Brother; David Dyes and sister; Janan Whyte.
