Robert Clarke

Robert G. Clarke, 85, of Gray, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 10, 2018. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Friday, March 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon. The family will hold visitation one hour prior to the service time. A committal will be held privately at a later date at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Clarke was born at The Rock, Georgia, to the late Hill Edwin and Hattie Shockley Clarke. He was preceded in death by his wife Anne Herring Clarke, three brothers, four sisters and one great-grandchild. Left to cherish his memory, are his loving children Robert Clarke Jr. (Pam), Michael Clarke and Delilah Clarke Baker (John). He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Robert devoted his life as a loving husband, father and grandfather to his family which he loved dearly. He provided for them by owning Tower Erectors Inc, to which he devoted tremendous dedication. Mr. Clarke loved spending time with his friends from the Moose Lodge, playing golf and enjoying a fine steak and glass of scotch.
Mr. Clarke was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
