Richard Oliver Massey, 82, of Lizella, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 8, at 2:30 PM in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Tim South officiating.
Mr. Massey was born on May 19, 1938, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Ralph and Hazel Massey. He proudly served his community for 32 years with the Macon Police Department. In his free time, Mr. Massey and his Wife Dorothy, loved camping and riding their motorcycle with their club, The Weekend Ramblers. He was a "yard work-aholic," never letting a single pine cone stay on the ground.
Mr. Massey was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mary Dorothy Sangster Massey and grandson, Austin Sellers.
Mr. Massey is survived by his daughter, Dawn Sellers (Rick); grandchildren, Amber Rozier (Jimmy) and Aaron Sellers (Haylie); great-grandchildren, Carli Sellers, Cameron Rozier, and Conner Rozier; many nieces; and one nephew.
