Richard Lowe
October 20, 1949 — October 19, 2025
Richard Wayne Lowe, Sr., lovingly known as
Ricky
, entered his heavenly home on October 19, 2025, surrounded by his devoted family. Born on October 20, 1949, in Macon, Georgia, Ricky was a lifelong Georgia native who made his home in East Dublin on an old Warnock family farm. This was the place he always said, "Felt like home". He was 75 years old.
Ricky was the beloved son of the late Leo Frank Lowe, Sr. of Savannah and Louise Sorrow of Macon. He grew up with a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life—his greatest happiness came from time spent outdoors and in the company of those he loved most. His favorite place was always home, where he enjoyed tending his garden, raising chickens, fishing, and hunting. Above all, Ricky cherished being surrounded by his family.
He began his career at Georgia Kaolin in Dry Branch before joining the railroad, where he worked for many years. After taking an early retirement from the railroad, he continued his strong work ethic at Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company until the company's relocation. Never one to sit still, Ricky decided to pursue a new calling and returned to school, earning his degree in nursing. He cared for veterans with compassion and dedication at the VA Medical Center in Dublin until his final retirement.
Ricky was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Strickland Sorrow; his father, Leo Frank Lowe, Sr.; his brother, Frank Lowe (Bubba); and his sister, Vivian Danforth.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Tina Marie Bracewell Lowe; his beloved children, Rick Lowe (Heather), Deb Collins, Rachael Rogers (Justin), and Kevin Lowe; nine cherished grandchildren; and one precious great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brother, Billy Lowe, Sr. (Barbara); his sister, Shirley Cranford; life long best friend, Billy Mosley and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Ricky's wish was for his loved ones not to mourn him with a formal service, but instead to gather for a good meal and share stories, laughter, and memories of the wonderful times spent together.
