Richard Holmes Kilgore
"Ricky"
July 26, 1954- June 13, 2021

Born in Macon, GA to Holmes and Leila (Morgan) Kilgore, Ricky was the 4th of 7 children. He followed in his dad's footsteps becoming (in our opinion) the best carpenter in the world, although he insisted his father was number one. He went above and beyond in work just as he did in everything in his life. He enlisted in the Coast Guard and served his country during the Vietnam War. He came home and married the love of his life, Janet (Gaugler) Kilgore and had two children, Elizabeth Kilgore Mills (Blake Adams) and Amanda Kilgore. In addition to being the most loving & dedicated father, he cherished his 5 grandchildren: Keira, Allegra, Carmen, Lydia & Oliver. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Cathy Bennett. He leaves behind his children, grandchildren, and siblings, Linda Minshew, Albert (Elaine) Kilgore, Nancy (Russell) Jones, Donna Jackett & Wanda Richardson, and a host of other family members. Ricky loved woodworking, helping other people, science fiction thrillers, but most of all, his family. He was a very special person & will be missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to donor's favorite charity. At his request, there will be no formal service at this time.
