Richard Henry Bobo, 86, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024. A funeral service will be held, to celebrate his life, on Thursday, December 26, 2024, 11:00 AM at FairHaven Funeral Home, with Pastor Lee Griffin officiating. The family invites friends to join them for a time of visitation one hour prior to service time; immediately following services Mr. Richard will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Richard was born on April 4, 1938, in Ashburn, Georgia to the late Mr. Lloyd Bobo and Mrs. Ruby Lee Bobo. He was a devoted family man, always playing with his grand and great grandchildren, he taught them to be kind, loving, and to never speak bad about anyone. Richard is described as a caring, generous person that would do anything for you, even if he didn't know you. He was a very dedicated employee, retiring from Riverwood International after 43 years of service, only to return to them when they needed help. When he wasn't working or spending time with family, he could be found fixing just about anything or riding around on his golf cart picking up sticks in the yard. His caring and loving nature will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Ann Bobo Jones; son, Ricky Page; brother, Raymond Bobo; sister, Anne Jones
Left to cherish his memory are, his wife of 44 years, Shirley Runette Bobo; son, Richard Alton Bobo; daughter, Jeri Jackson; brother, Charles Bobo; grandchildren, Autumn Filush, Ashley (Chip) Bishop, Garrett Page, Christopher Bobo, Cody (Sarah) Jones; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
