Rebecca Reese

Rebecca Lynn Reese nee Beardslee born on July 19, 1965 deeply loved her life. Rebecca "Becky" passed with her husband, Dale, by her side on May 5, 2024.

Becky was 58 years young. She had an eye for beautiful things and her favorite part about herself was her quick wit and wicked sense of humor.

Becky was born to John F. Beardslee, Jr. and Sharon K. Beardslee. She attended Derby schools in Derby, KS and graduated from Wichita State University in 1986. She had may creative interests which included band, orchestra, basket weaving, painting, drawing, jewelry design, and most recently pottery. Becky loved to travel and see the world: Ireland, Australia, St. Lucia, Paris and more are a few of her destinations.

For most of her adult life, Becky worked in television, managing entire operations and pioneering for women in the field most recently working as the Senior Vice President of broadcast television for Imagicomm Communications, LLC. She loved her work, but she loved her beautiful family with every fiber of her being. Her children and her loving and supportive husband, Dale L. Reese, were her everything. Her love and her loyalty burned bright.

Becky is survived by her husband, Dale L. Reese of 21 years. Dale is in Macon, GA. She has 3 children, Sidney E. Hyde (Elijah) of Nashville, TN; Randy John Thomas Swan of Boston, MA; and Alexis Reese of Macon, GA; her mother, Sharon K. Beardslee of Rose Hill, KS; 2 sisters: Johanna Tucker (Stephen) of Conyers, GA and Lisa Goodman (Joel) of Wichita, KS. She is also survived by her 2 aunts and 2 uncles, 3 living cousins, 3 nieces, 3 nephews, 2 great nieces, 4 great nephews, and friends too numerous to count.

Becky is preceded in death by her father, John F. Beardslee, Jr. as well as one cousin, Kelly N. Beardslee.

Pursuant to the request of the deceased, there will be no funeral services.

A memorial will be established at a later date.
