Phileathia F. "Mama Jean" Bowen, 80, of Lizella, Georgia passed away Friday, June 3, 2016. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 5, 2016 in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Ronnie Hollis will officiate.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. till 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Burial will follow in the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.

Born in Macon, she was the wife of the late James M. Bowen Sr. and the daughter of the late Leroy and Naomi Hunnicutt Freeney. She was a member of the Lizella Baptist Church and retired from Republic Parking. She was preceded in death by her sons, Ken and Larry Chapman, Brothers, Fred Feeney Sr., James Freeney, Michael Freeney and a step daughter, Margie Hobbs.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda (David) Green of Lizella, Ga.; Traci Etheredge of Lizella, Ga. Step Son, James M. (Debbie) Bowen; Brother, Leroy (Karen) Freeney, Eight grandchildren, Eighteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
